Plico Design Studio is an Architecture and Heritage practice based in South Melbourne, Australia. Our versatility and flexibility are shown in our variety of key projects, which include adaptive reuse, contemporary design, commercial, public and residential projects, both heritage and non-heritage.
We do however specialise in adapting historical places and contexts to create spaces which respond to contemporary use, with upgrades to meet current compliance measures and enhancement of each space.
We create solutions to minimise our projects’ carbon footprint whilst prioritising each project’s budget and requirements. We recognise adaptability of older buildings as a key component of sustainable development and productivity, to maximise budgets and time frames.
We collaborate with other creative disciplines depending on the requirements for each project, including specialist designers for Interpretation, Interiors, Engineers, and Landscape Designers. We travel internationally as a source of inspiration and apply this directly to our projects.
