Our Myrtle Street project included a restoration of the original timber façade of a Victorian Cottage located in Clifton Hill. Our clients approached us for a contemporary extension of the existing single level Victorian Terrace to become a contemporary two level contemporary terrace with rooftop balcony, including new bedrooms and living areas.
We exposed original Internal brick walls to provide a subtle contrast between original and new elements. Externally we used gabled roof forms to match the original roof pitch, balancing heritage and contemporary elements.
We also restored and refinished the original timber facade. The rear brick façade featured steel shrouds around timber windows and a two-toned brick exterior.
