Our clients engaged Plico Design Studio to adapt the original Californian Bungalow house to suit their families evolving needs. The previous awkward layout was rationalised and priority given to the living areas at ground floor level, opening up to the existing rear garden and terrace area.

Upstairs, a former rumpus room was converted into a parents main bedroom suite with a balcony converted into a sunny nook.

There were no structural changes made to the house which allowed the client’s budget to be spent on enhancing the internal spaces, improving energy efficiency and indulging in some quality items such as a steel framed corridor door.
